Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm a naturopath. Whilst Naturopathy is becoming more mainstream there are a lot of people who still don't know exactly what it is, or what we do, so let me make things clear. I am university educated and my health science bachelor involved the marrying of a nutrition and a herbal medicine degree.
My background is in Behavioural Science (Psychology) and for 14 years I've been supporting women to make positive changes for their health that feel simple and sustainable. I’m passionate about a no-diet approach to well-being and spend most of my time healing microbiomes and sharing pearls of wisdom about intuitive eating!

WHAT IS NATUROPATHY?
Natural Medicine 101
In today's health-conscious age, determining what foods are best for you can be freaking overwhelming. There's always some guru insisting their way is the answer. In our sessions, we cut through the bs, and figure out, together, what foods feel good for you, what you have access to, and what habits work best. I want you to know what our body likes and doesn't like. Nutrition shouldn't be stressful.
Naturopathic medicine prioritises health and the prevention of disease. That means together we consider your daily habits and whether they're making you feel good or compounding your health issues. The kinds of things we explore are work-life balance, stress management, daily movement, sleep habits, exercise, your passions, way of life, values and relationships - including the one with yourself.
Plants are a therapeutic, all-natural way to address a myriad of health conditions. They contain various traditional and scientifically proven chemicals that positively influence health and restore homeostasis in the body.
The herbs I prescribe my clients are practitioner only, potent liquids, tablets, capsules and creams. Your prescription is always designed to meet your personal requirements with attention to any drug-herb interactions or contradictions.
Symptoms speak for themselves but sometimes further investigations are required. Where necessary I send clients for lab testing. This might include;
Blood work: deficiencies, insulin, inflammation, full thyroid panel etc
Hormone profiles (salivary and urine)
Food intolerance testing
Digestive stool analysis, microbiome testing.
Heavy metal testing
Histamine and allergy test
